α-tetrαgono was the creative studio of Apostoliα Demertzi and Alexandrα Tsimberi. The studio was formed out of an urge to serve and facilitate the common and intuitive love for making paper objects. The aim is to produce concepts for stationery, lighting features, day to day objects, even environments. The main material used is grey card, a “cheap” and raw paper. Influenced by their architectural backgrounds, raw paper is cut, folded, and layered with other more elegant materials, and enhanced with small scale use of colour and graphics. The goal is to design handmade or mass-produced objects of simple, clear-cut forms and sophisticated aesthetics.
